Police arrested a 29-year-old Pearl City man and a 27-year-old woman last night for allegedly trying to pay their bill at a Nuuanu fast-food restaurant with counterfeit money.

The two were arrested on charges of forgery and theft, police said.

The woman also faces charges of promoting a dangerous drug and possessing drug paraphernalia when an ice pipe with what appeared to be crystal methamphetamine residue was found when she was searched at the police station. She also had a stolen identification card, according the police.
