No isle tsunami from 6.5 quake near Vanuatu

An earthquake of magnitude 6.5 shook Vanuatu in the South Pacific late this afternoon.
No destructive widespread tsunami is expected as a result of the earthquake, which occurred at 4:48 p.m. today, Hawaii time, according to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.
