High wind advisory for Hawaii extended to Friday morning

A high wind advisory for Hawaii has been extended until Friday morning, with forecasters predicting gusts as high as 55 mph.

The National Weather Service expects strong trade winds of 25 to 35 mph, with higher gusts, to continue until at least 6 a.m. Friday.

The high winds can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles, forecasters said.
