Police arrest suspect in Pearlridge store robbery

Police arrested a Pupukea man in connection with a robbery at a Pearlridge area convenience store Monday night.

A man allegedly took merchandise from a shelf about 9 p.m. and tried to leave without paying. He verbally threatened a cashier trying to stop him, police said. Officers arrested the 20-year-old suspect a short time later at a Shell gas staion at 98-135 Kamehameha Highway for investigation of second-degree robbery.
