By Associated Press

LAST UPDATED: 01:13 p.m. HST, Apr 22, 2011

Callers pretending to be Hawaiian Electric Company employees have been phoning customers and asking for personal information.

The callers then ask for personal financial information.

Hawaiian Electric customers are urged to never provide personal, confidential or financial information to any unidentified person.
