Strong winds have prompted the National Weather Service to issue a high surf advisory for the eastern shores of Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Maui and the Big Island.
The agency said robust trades are producing rough and choppy surf and wave heights up to 8 feet.
The warning is in effect until 6 a.m. tomorrow.
The agency said the surf could produce rip currents and localized beach erosion.
