Fourth of July fireworks displays on tap around Oahu

A handful of public fireworks displays will close out the three-day Fourth of July weekend tonight.

>> Ala Moana Center Fourth of July Spectacular. Parking deck concert begins at 5 p.m., fireworks at 8:30 p.m. Tune to KRTR 96.3 for live fireworks soundtrack. Information: call 955-9517 or go to www.alamoanacenter.com/Events/Weekend-Schedule.

>> Independence Day at Maunalua Bay Beach Park. Activities and entertainment begin at 1 p.m., fireworks at 8 p.m. Information: www.independencedayatmaunaluabay.org.

>> Schofield Barracks Fourth of July Spectacular. Open to the public. Activities all day; live entertainment begins 2:30 p.m. Fireworks at 8:30 p.m. Vehicle drivers and all passengers 16 and older must present valid state or federal ID at the gate. Information: www.mwrarmyhawaii.com.

>> Hickam Harbor hosts festivities for military families beginning at 11 a.m. Fireworks at 8:30 p.m. Military ID required.

>> Kailua Fourth of July fireworks display, 8 p.m., Kailua Bay. Information: kailuafireworks.ning.com.

>> Turtle Bay Resort hosts live entertainment and family activities beginning at 5:30 p.m. Fireworks at 8 p.m. Free admission and parking.

>> Fourth of July Celebration at Maili Beach Park, noon to 10 p.m. Free admisison. Fireworks at dusk.
