Police catch suspected burglar at Kalihi school

Honolulu police say they caught a 27-year-old woman trying to burglarize Kalihi Elementary School Monday afternoon.

Police said the suspect activated a burglar alarm at about 3:47 p.m. Responding officers found the woman, who has no local address, on the school grounds with property taken from a classroom which had been broken into, police said.

Police arrested the woman at 5:15 p.m. at the school on suspicion of second-degree burglary.
