Police arrest suspected burglar in Waikiki hostel

Officers arrested a 55-year-old homeless man who was caught stealing items from a room in a Waikiki hostel Friday morning, police said.
A resident, 45, confronted the suspect in the building.
The alleged burglar attempted to flee but was detained, and then arrested without incident.
Stolen property was recovered, police said.
