Power restored to St. Louis Heights, lower Waialae

Hawaiian Electric Co. crews have restored power to an estimated 1,200 customers in St. Louis Heights and lower Waialae this morning after a metallic balloon apparently disrupted service, HECO spokesman Darren Pai said.

The outage was reported around 11:10 a.m. and a repair crew had power restored around 11:35 a.m., Pai said.

Workers discovered a metallic ballon in one of the power lines, Pai said.
