Hawaii surfer Carissa Moore must win tomorrow in the Roxy Pro in Biarritz, France to keep her title hopes alive.

Moore surfs in a “sudden death” round 4 after finishing behind Courtney Conlogue during round 3 at the Roxy Pro Biarritz at La Grande Plage today.

Moore, currently the number one woman’s surfer, can win the Association of Surfing Professionals title with a victory in France. However, her closest competitor -- Australia’s Sally Fitzgibbons has already advanced to the quarter finals.

If Moore places 2nd or 3rd in France, Fitzgibbons must win to keep her world title hopes alive. If Moore places 5th, Fitzgibbons needs to place 2nd or win; and if Moore places 9th, the title race goes to the U.S. Open, the year’s final women’s surfing event.
