Alaska Airlines to add daily Honolulu-San Diego service

Alaska Airlines will begin daily San Diego-to-Honolulu flights Nov. 17.
The flights will depart San Diego at 9:15 a.m. and arrive in Honolulu at 1:15 p.m., while return flights will depart Honolulu at 3:40 p.m. and arrive in San Diego at 11:15 p.m.
The Hawaii Tourism Authority estimates the route will contribute up to $58 million in visitor expenditures and $6 million in annual tax revenue, according to HTA President and CEO Mike McCartney.
"The success of Alaska Airlines' flight from Kahului to San Diego, established last October, shows there is continued demand from that region," he said. "These additional air seats will help continue Hawaii's momentum in our tourism economy."
