Police charge Kona woman for allegedly trying to run ex-boyfriend off road

Hawaii County police this afternoon charged a 22-year-old Kona woman with reckless driving and other offenses after she allegedly tried to run her ex-boyfriend and his 17-year-old female passenger off the road Monday in Kailua-Kona.

Kahea Reyes of Honaunau was also charged with two counts of reckless endangering, two counts of terroristic threatening, three counts of criminal property damage and driving with a suspended license. Her bail was set at $16,000.

Reyes remains at the Kona police cellblock pending an initial court appearance today.
