Hawaii County police have arrested a Pennsylvania man wanted as a suspect in a sexual assault case on the mainland.

Detectives with the department's Hilo Juvenile Aid Section, acting on information from the Bucks County, Pa., district attorney's office and the Bristol Township Police Department, arrested Albert August Zuest, 66, Tuesday afternoon.

A warrant had been issued for the arrest of Zuest, who is a suspect in the rape of a minor in Pennsylvania, police said. He has been on the island since at least 2009, the Hawaii Tribune-Herald said.

Zuest signed a waiver of extradition Thursday in Hilo Circuit Court and was to be returned to Pennsylvania that day, the Tribune-Herald said. Details of his arrest were not disclosed.
