Stolen bike leads to arrest for alleged robbery, intimidation

By Star-Advertiser

An 18-year-old man was arrested for investigation of second-degree robbery and intimidating a witness after a 16-year-old boy saw the suspect's friend riding the boy's stolen bicycle in Mililani, police said.

The boy reported his bicycle stolen in June then saw the suspect's friend riding the bicycle. Around 8:20 p.m. Saturday night, the 18-year-old man allegedly stopped the boy, got within inches of his face and told him to drop the case against the man's friend, police said.

The boy agreed to drop the case but the 18-year-old man then demanded money, which the boy provided, police said.

The boy reported the incident to police, who later arrested the 18-year-old man.
