Man arrested for allegedly damaging boat's windows with bat

A 40-year-old man was arrested Monday morning after he allegedly damaged the glass doors and windows of a boat docked in Ala Wai Yacht Harbor with a metal baseball bat.

Police said several nearby boat owners who heard the commotion assisted the boat captain, a 58-year-old woman, in detaining the suspect until police arrived following the 8:55 a.m. incident.

No one was injured. The man, of no local address, was arrested and being held on a charge of second-degree criminal property damage.
