A 24-year-old Kalihi man was arrested Monday afternoon after he allegedly tried to forge checks at the same Waipahu bank twice.
Police said the man received cash from a forged check at the bank on Aug. 1 and then attempted to do so again today about 2:20 p.m.
The bank contacted police when the suspect showed up with the second check and he was arrested.
He is being held pending charges of two counts of identity theft, two counts of second-degree forgery, two counts of second-degree theft, two counts of unauthorized use of personal information and a contempt of court count.
