Suspect arrested in July 9 attempted murder

Police arrested a 26-year-old Makaha man Thursday on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder that allegedly occurred 12:30 a.m. July 9 in Waianae.
Police said a 33-year-old man went to check on a family member who may have been assaulted when he got into an argument with the younger man.
The 26-year-old struck him in the head with a metal pipe, police said.
The suspect was identified and police arrested him at his home.
