No Pacific-wide tsunami has been generated from a 7.0-magnitude earthquake in Vanuatu, the U.S. government says.
The quake occurred at 12:56 p.m. Hawaii time, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center reported.
Vanuatu is a group of islands west of Fiji in the southwest Pacific.
