Escapee from Hawaii Youth Correctional Facility is caught

A 15-year-old boy escaped from the Hawaii Youth Correctional Facility in Kailua but was recaptured shortly afterwards.
Police said the teenager fled the detention center while emptying garbage in a trash bin outside the facility's secured fence at about 6:20 p.m. Sunday.
Officials said they recaptured him at about 7 p.m.
