No. 12 Hawaii sweeps Cincinnati in volleyball

Kanani Danielson put down a match-high 17 kills and Brittany Hewitt added 10 as No. 12 Hawaii swept Cincinnati 25-18, 25-23, 25-21 tonight to win the Verizon Classic women's volleyball tournament at the Stan Sheriff Center. 

Jane Croson and Danielson also had 10 digs for the Rainbow Wahine (8-1).

Missy Harpenau lhad nine kills for the Bearcats (7-4), who finished second.

Danielson was named the Most Outstanding Player. Joining her on the all-tournament team were the Wahine's Hewitt and Croson, Cincinnati's Emily Hayden and Emily Macintyre, Pacific's Samantha Misa and Rice's Laurie McNarara.

Pacific finished third when outlasting Rice 25-22, 25-21, 25-27, 25-27, 15-11 earlier today.
