A state judge today granted the Hawaiian Humane Society custody of 153 dogs seized Feb. 28 from a Waimanalo business.

Circuit Judge Glenn Kim also said Bradley International Inc., operator of the alleged puppy mill, must turn over to the humane society an additional 79 puppies born to the seized dogs since Feb. 28.

The humane society has said the dogs were being held in filthy conditions and were not given proper nutrition.
