A 21-year-old Palama man pleaded of not guilty to a second degree murder charge in connection with the stabbing of a neighbor in Mayor Wright Housing two weeks ago.

Takson Krstoth is scheduled to go on trial the week of Nov. 21. He is accused of murdering TJ "Tipuk" Mori, 24, who was stabbed near a garbage bin at the housing project Sept. 10.  If convicted he faces a life term with parole.

The city prosecutor's office said the stabbing occurred after an argument between the two men.

Krstoth stabbed Mori in the back with a foot-long kitchen knife. Police arrested Krstoth two blocks away.

Krstoth entered his not guilty plea via a close circuit video conference call from Oahu Community Correctional Center. He has been unable to post his $250,000 bail.
