Skater critically injured after falling in Hauula

A 13-year-old boy went to the hospital in critical condition after falling while skating in Hauula.
Paramedics were sent to Waikulama Street about 5 p.m. Tuesday.
According to emergency dispatch reports, bystanders said the boy was skating down a hill with a helmet on and hit his head after falling backward.
He tried to get up, but fell back again.
He was taken to the Queen's Medical Center in critical condition.
