Governor returns from 2-week trip to Asia

By Associated Press

LAST UPDATED: 05:23 a.m. HST, Oct 20, 2011

Gov. Neil Abercrombie is returning to Hawaii from a two-week trip to Japan and China.

Abercrombie is schedule to land in Honolulu today. His office says he's expected to hold a press conference at the state Capitol on Monday to discuss his trip.

Abercrombie was among a delegation of six governors who participated in a National Governors Association U.S.-China Governors Forum in Beijing.

The governor's office says the forum focuses on economic development and job creation.

The governor says building on Hawaii's relationships with Japan and China is important not only for the state's visitor industry but also for longstanding cultural connections.

Is it my imagination... or have we been seeing more of the Lt. Gov on TV and Radio in the last 2 weeks than we've heard from the Gov. in 2 years?

Was he gone? I guess so nobody has resigned in the last few days. All of you who voted for Abercrombie got what you deserve...A governor with little or no experience in governance and either a very poor judge of character or possibly a good judge of character and poor governor since they sure don't want to stay with him.
