A 42-year-old Kaneohe woman is charged with trying to kill a 42-year-old man during a drinking argument Tuesday in Kahaluu.

Jodi Durell was charged Thursday with second-degree attempted murder and was being held at the Oahu Community Correctional Center in lieu of $100,000 bail.

Police said Durell was drinking with the man near the Hygienic Store about 2:30 p.m. when they argued and the man allegedly hit Durell. She got into her truck and drove at the man, police said. The man's leg was pinned against a wall, according to emergency dispatch reports. Paramedics took him to the hospital in serious condition with a leg injury.
