Homeless man held in car theft, ID theft case

A 27-year-old homeless man was arrested after a routine traffic stop turned up more serious offenses Friday morning at the Hygenic Store in Kaneohe.

Police said that after the 11:15 a.m. stop, a check discovered that the vehicle was stolen, and that the man also possessed two different credit cards and a drivers license from two different people.

The man was subsequently arrested for unauthorized control of a vehicle and related charges.
