The Honolulu Police Department is advising the public about changes to the Beretania Street headquarters during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation conference next week.
From Monday to Nov. 14, arrestees, who are normally processed at 801 S. Beretania St., will be taken to the Kapolei police station and juveniles will be processed at the Kalihi police station. The public can get information by calling the Kapolei receiving desk at 723-8525 or the Kalihi receiving desk at 723-8207.
Walk-in service for police reports at the Records and Identification Division will not be available. Instead, the public is asked to call the division at 529-3271 to get information. The Law Enforcement Museum at the Beretania Street headquarters will also be closed from Nov. 7 to 14.
Firearms registration and covered offender registration will not be affected.
Police said the changes are needed because of the increased security and staffing for APEC.
