A 27-year-old man from a cruise ship was in critical condition at Wilcox Hospital Saturday after an apparent near-drowning.
Bystanders pulled the man from the water at Kalapaki Beach and began administering CPR, according to a Kauai County news release.
He was found floating face down in the water fronting Duke's Canoe Club at around 2:09 pm.
Firefighters and paramedics continued CPR and revived the man, a worker on a cruise ship that was docked in Nawiliwili Harbor, before taking him to the hospital.
