3.7-magnitude earthquake shakes Hawaii island

Hawaii island residents were shaken by a 3.7 magnitude earthquake Saturday afternoon.

The U.S. Geological Survey estimates the earthquake was centered about  4 miles south, southeast of the Kilauea summit and 28 miles south, southeast of Hilo at a depth of 15.8 miles. It hit at a1:03 p.m.

There were no reports of major damage or injuries.

The earthquake was felt most strongly in Volcano, but reports also came in from  Lahiana, Kaneohe and Honokaa, according to the USGS "Did you feel it?" website.
