Kawaiaho Street closed due to downed utility pole

Police have closed Kawaiaho Street between Ward Avenue and Cummins Street because of a downed utility pole that has cut electrical service to about 100 customers.
An earlier outage in Alewa Heights affected about 600 customers, Hawaiian Electric Co. spokesman Darren Pai said.
