Honolulu police arrested a 43-year-old woman from Omaha, Nebraska who allegedly stole a pair of shoes at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center and assaulted a security guard who tried to stop her.

Police said as the woman tried to leave the Kate Spade shoe outlet at 2233 Kalakaua Avenue about 4:12 p.m. Friday, she was confronted by a male security guard. The suspect then kneed the security guard in the groin, police said.

Officers detained and arrested her for second-degree robbery.
