Hawaii County firefighters returned to a badly damaged Waikoloa home after fire flared up again Monday night.

The home suffered an estimated $390,000 Sunday evening in a fire that spread quickly because of gusty winds.

The 7:16 p.m. fire also burned a Porsche parked in the garage, the front end of a Mercedes parked in the driveway and started a small brush fire behind the home.

Firefighters returned to the home at 68-3556 W. Makuahine St. at 9:14 p.m. Monday after flames were seen coming from the eves in a corner of the house. Firefighters controlled the flare-up at 9:32 p.m.
