The teacher should have shot him dead, cut off his ears and mail them to the parents.

The teacher should have just given him a hug and a word of encouragement.

Maybe parents should be punished when their children do not behave right. Civil right causes a lot of problems for law enforcment. The boy should be punished by his parents after his parents are punished for being bad parents.

Therein lies the problem. Classic, you were raised right. Hitting a teacher is something that never would have even crossed my mind when I was growing up. But I bet the parents of this boy will assume some type of victim mentality and back up their kid.

The teacher should sue the parents (assuming he even has any and they're are not on welfare). Then prosecute the little bastard so he gets a taste of what's in store for him if he continues his ways.

If only the HSTA allowed for better teacher evaluaiton, none of this would have happened. This teacher should be dismissed for not having the intuition to get out of the way. Just another dumb teacher clogging up the DOE pipeline.

A "undisclosed Kalihi area school". Hmm, being that the youth is 16 years old, I'd suppose the school could be "Farrington".

It might be a middle school. Students often repeat grades several times in Kalihi.
