Police arrest man in stolen car in Makaha

A 55-year-old Molokai man was arrested on suspicion of auto theft Wednesday night after police stopped him in Makaha for an alleged traffic violation.

Police said a check by the patrol officer revealed that the vehicle had been stolen Jan. 3.

The driver was arrested for investigation of auto theft and several drug and alcohol violations. A 52-year-old male passenger was arrested for being in a stolen car.
