The Kauai prosecutor's office is asking for the public's help to find a fugitive from Kapaa who failed to show up for her sentencing in November.

Sharilyn Ozonko, 26, was convicted of second-degree theft in August for stealing more than $1,400 in jewelry in May from a store in Kukuiula Village.

A warrant for her arrest was issued when she failed to appear for her sentencing hearing on Nov. 17. Her bail was set at $101,000. According to court documents from November, Ozonko also had outstanding bench warrants in California.

Officials urged anyone with information on Ozonko's whereabouts to call Crime Stoppers on Kauai at 241-1887.

Troubled person who doesn't know who she is. Starting out in life with a rap sheet! What a waste. Feel for her parents.
