A former First Hawaiian Bank branch manager pleaded guilty today in federal court to embezzling more than $2.6 million over a 10-year period from the bank.
Lani Ann Miho, 52, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Michael Seabright.
Miho stole $2,683,494, and ultimately repaid all of it.
Miho faces up to 30 years in prison and a $1 million fine when she is sentenced June 4.
The U.S. Attorney's Office said Miho was a branch manager and personal loan officer for First Hawaiian on Oahu and Hawaii island.
From July 2000 to September 2010, the government said, Miho created about 56 accounts in various names, withdrawing money and paying off balances due from other accounts.
