Man held in alleged car ramming case

Police arrested an 18-year-old man who allegedly tried to kill his ex-girlfriend in Kailua with his car.

Police said the two were involved in an argument, and the man allegedly rammed his car into the woman’s sport utility vehicle at about 1:30 p.m. Monday.

The man, who has no local address, was later caught at the scene in the Kapaa Quarry Road area.

Police arrested the man on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder, unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and abuse.
