An 18-year-old man who allegedly drove his car into his ex-girlfriend's vehicle in Kailua was scheduled to appear in District Court this morning after being charged with terroristic threatening.

Makai Somera is also charged with criminal property damage, unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, and two counts of abuse of a household or family member .

He was being held on $100,000 bail.

Officers arrested Somera, who has no local address, at the scene in the Kapaa Quarry Road area.

He had faced a second-degree attempted murder charge after he allegedly rammed his car into the woman's sport utility vehicle after the couple argued at about 1:30 p.m. Monday.

Police did not release information on any injuries to the woman.

The attempted murder charge was dropped, the city prosecutor's office said.

You sure she didn't drive her car sideways into her ex? Who started the fight? Did she set him up in a scam that upset him so much that he became frustrated and irrational? Can't tell squat from these little itty bitty facts and incomplete story.
