Man critically injured in Kailua mo-ped crash

A 51-year-old man was in critical condition Wednesday after crashing his mo-ped on Oneawa Street in Kailua.

The man was driving south-bound on Oneawa near Kipuka Place about 9:55 a.m. when he lost control and hit the pavement, sustaining injuries to his head, police said.

The man, of an unknown address, was taken in critical condition to the Queen's Medical Center. He was not wearing a helmet.
