Two men use torch to try to take ATM but start fire

Two men apparently started a fire this morning while trying to steal an ATM machine by using a torch in Kapaa, Kauai.
Officers responded to a report that the ATM at the Kauai Products Fair appeared to have been cut out with a torch at 2:17 a.m., police said. They found the ATM on fire and put it out.
No surrounding structures were damaged.
A witness told police that he saw two unidentified men in the area leave in a vehicle.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 241-1887.
