Teen girl arrested after injuring father during temper tantrum

A 16-year-old Kapolei girl, upset when her father disciplined her by taking her television and other items from her bedroom, threw a temper tantrum and ended up getting arrested after breaking one of his fingers, police said.

During the temper tantrum Sunday afternoon, the girl began swinging her arms, striking her father and breaking one of his fingers, police said.

Officers arrested her for second-degree assault.
