Man arrested for lewd conduct near Castle High School

Police arrested a 48-year-old man Friday after he was seen masturbating near Castle High School in Kaneohe, police said.
On Jan. 6, juveniles reported to their parents that they saw a man masturbating in his vehicle on the road leading to Castle High School, police said. Plain clothes officers met with the juveniles, identified the vehicle, and monitored the man's routine.
On Friday, undercover officers were watching the man when they saw him masturbate in the drivers seat of his vehicle, police said. The juveniles who initially made the complaint also identified the man as the person they saw last month.
Police arrested the man at 1:55 p.m. for investigation of open lewdness and two counts of fourth-degree sexual assault.
