Officers arrested a 17-year-old girl Friday after she punched another girl in the face and broke a bone in Waipahu, police said.
Police said the suspect bumped into the other girl, who attends the same Waipahu high school and is also 17, and exchanged words before punching her in the face about 12:10 p.m.
The victim's parents took their daughter to the hospital where she was found to have facial bone fractures.
The parents notified police, who arrested the alleged attacker for investigation of assault at 6:15 p.m.
