A 27-year-old man allegedly robbed another 27-year-old man at gunpoint, then sped through a crowded pedestrian mall in Chinatown Saturday before he was arrested on robbery, drug, alcohol and firearms offenses, police said.

Witnesses told police that the man drove recklessly through the mall at around 10:30 a.m. Saturday, nearly hitting pedestrians, police said.

Signs posted on the mall say no vehicle traffic is allowed, police said.

The driver was seen carrying a handgun when he finally got out of his vehicle, police said.

Officers found the man back in his vehicle on a public street near the mall at 10:51 a.m. and arrested him for investigation of several violations including third-degree promotion of drugs, having an open container in a vehicle, possessing a firearm with a defaced serial number, possessing an unregistered firearm, carrying a loaded firearm on a public highway and first-degree robbery.

It is just "Sickening" to know that these types of crimes are occurring almost daily in Hawaii, with no solutions or preventive actions being developed by any lawmakers. Except to award a minimal jail sentence because of overcrowding. To let this Animal and other like him back into Society, to continue to unleash Carnage upon innocent, tax paying, law abiding citizens is CRIMINAL IN ITSELF!!! As long as the victims are not relatives of the lawmakers, no action is taken. Retribution is coming for all those politicians that are guilty of this Corrupt Pratice. Shame on you all and a Curse on all of you that are Guilty!!!
