Water main break partially closes Ward Avenue, Auahi Street through Monday

The right, mauka-bound lane of Ward Avenue and the diamondhead-bound lane of Auahi Street ls closed until Board of Water Supply crews repair a broken water main and the roadway.
The break to the 12-inch water main occurred around 2:15 p.m. Sunday at Wahoo's Fish Taco but no businesses have lost water service, Board of Water Supply spokesman Damien Racoma said.
The 12-inch water main was installed in 1952, Racoma said. Crews finished repairs on the pipe at about 2:30 a.m. and are finishing repairs on the roadway.
