Hawaii sophomore forward Kamilah Jackson was named to the Western Athletic Conference women's basketball second team in postseason awards announced today. She was one of three Rainbow Wahine players to receive honors.
Senior forward Breanna Arbuckle was named to the all-defensive team and point guard Alissa Campanero made the all-freshman team.
Jackson, who averaged 13.2 points and 10.5 rebounds this season, is the first Wahine player to make an All-WAC team since Tanya Smith in 2007-08. The 5-foot-11 California native led the league in rebounding and is 10th in the country in that category. She has 15 double-doubles heading into postseason play.
Sixth-seeded UH (11-18, 6-8 WAC) plays third-seeded Louisiana Tech in the WAC tournament first round on Wednesday in Las Vegas.
Fresno State guard Ki-Ki Moore was named the WAC Player of the Year. San Jose State's Tim La Kose was named WAC Coach of the Year.
