A 46-year-old man who crashed a motorcycle while allegedly trying to elude police, is changed with driving a stolen motorcycle.
Police arrested Kalei Kiaaina at the Oahu Community Correctional Center Friday morning. He is being held on $20,000 bail on the new motorcycle theft charge.
Patrol officers tried to pull Kiaaina over for speeding on Oct. 20, police said. But Kiaaina attempted to elude officers, lost control of the motorcycle and crashed, police said. No other vehicles were involved.
Police discovered the motorcycle had been stolen from a 19-year-old man about an hour before the crash and arrested Kiaaina.
