Jordan Adams and Tyler Huntey hit run-scoring singles in the second inning of a 3-1 victory over Hawaii to split a doubleheader on Saturday at Les Murakami Stadium.
Brent Harrison got Nate Theumissen to ground into a fielder's choice with the tying run on third to compete Hawaii's 2-1 win in the first game.
The Chippewas (6-9) earned a split of a four-game set, ending their season-opening 15-game road trip.
Lawrence Chew (0-1) took the loss in the second game, allowing two runs on five hits in 2 1/3 innings. Kyle Dowdy pitched the final 6 2/3 innings, striking out a career-high 12.
Scott Squier (3-1) worked four shutout innings to earn the win in the opener, allowing four hits and two walks with three strikeouts. He hasn't allowed a run in his last 18 innings.
Harrison earned his second save for the Rainbows (11-5).
Up next for the Rainbows is a four-game series against San Francisco beginning Thursday.
