Longtime TV reporter and anchor Ron Mizutani will join public relations firm Communications Pacific as a senior vice president beginning June 1.

He will be primarily involved in what a CommPac statement called community-building work, collaborating with government and private sector clients on construction and development projects, for example.

Mizutani has been at KHON-TV for nearly 28 years, first in sports, then moving to news. He took a short break from television to accept a position at Hawaiian Telcom, but returned to KHON months later.

You will never regret a decision to spend these developing years with your beautiful family. Look forward to seeing more of you on the playing fields. You were one of the very few reporters to not just report a story but had the work ethic and courage to actually break a story. It was a pleasure having the opportunity to work with you for so many years. See you around Kailua. - Dino
